The Journal of Flow Visualization and Image Processing is a professional academic journal dedicated to flow visualization technology and its application in image processing. Flow visualization technology is an important branch of fluid mechanics, which uses experiments and computer-aided techniques to make invisible fluid flow phenomena visible, thereby helping scientists and engineers better understand and analyze the flow patterns of fluids.

In the past few hundred years, flow visualization experiments have made significant contributions to the development of fluid mechanics concepts. Starting from Leonardo da Vinci, using modern scientific forms and visualization methods to observe and study fluid flow, and later on with the pioneering work of scientists such as Reynolds and Prandtl, flow visualization technology has continuously developed and improved. This technology not only plays an important role in improving the physical understanding of complex transitions and turbulent phenomena, but also has significant applications in measuring the scientific and physical properties of heat and fluid flow in engineering and scientific fields.
