Convergencia-Revista de Ciencias Sociales is an open-access scientific journal dedicated to promoting the development and dissemination of social science research in Latin America. As part of the Autonomous University of Mexico, this journal reflects the university's commitment to science communication and academic exchange. Such cross-cultural and interdisciplinary exchanges help to enrich the research horizons of social science and improve the innovation and relevance of research.

The main objective of the journal is to encourage and support social science research in Latin America, which includes but is not limited to economics, political science, sociology, anthropology, history, geography, psychology and other disciplines. By publishing high-quality research papers, case studies, theoretical discussions, and review articles, the journal provides a platform for scholars and professionals in the social sciences to present and exchange research findings. It is also committed to promoting the internationalization of social science research in Latin America by attracting authors and readers from all over the world and promoting dialogue and exchange between different cultural and academic traditions.
